Dr. Marino Schuhmacher is an accomplished Project Management executive with over 20 years of experience in clinical and preclinical research and development within the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as a Project Manager at TRIGA-S, he oversees the full lifecycle of analytical and clinical performance studies for In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), managing everything from study protocols and ethics committee communications to site monitoring and team supervision. Previously, as Director of Preclinical Development at Ethris GmbH, he was responsible for drug development programs for first-in-man applications in rare genetic diseases. This role built on his extensive background in managing preclinical R&D programs, pharmacology, and CRO audits at both BioNTech SE (focused on tumor immunotherapies) and Antisense Pharma. His comprehensive expertise bridges the fields of drug development and diagnostic execution, providing a strong foundation for advancing companion diagnostics (CDx).
