Mariabernarda Carnemolla

Mariabernarda Carnemolla is an Associate Director of Project Management at Parexel International with over 15 years of progressive experience in clinical research and pharmaceutical development. She holds dual master’s degrees in Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Research, complemented by a degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology.
Mrs. Carnemolla brings extensive expertise in rare disease and pediatric clinical trial management, with demonstrated leadership across complex, multi-country programs. Her specialized knowledge encompasses rare diseases including MOGAD, autoimmune encephalitis, myasthenia gravis, immune thrombocytopenia purpura, APDS, trigeminal neuralgia, and severe hemophilia A. She has successfully led Phase II/III pediatric clinical trials across multiple countries, combining scientific rigor with compassionate approaches to pediatric research.
Throughout her career, she has consistently delivered clinical trials on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards and full compliance with ICH GCP requirements. Her expertise spans strategic account management, international project oversight, team leadership and mentorship, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance across diverse therapeutic areas including rare diseases, haematology, dermatology, neurology, CNS, immunology, and inflammation both in adult and pediatric polulations.
Mrs. Carnemolla’s contributions to clinical research excellence have been recognized through two finalist nominations for the PharmaTimes International Clinical Researcher of the Year Award (2024 and 2026) in the Team Leader Category. She is known for her ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments, build and develop high-performing teams, and foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Her proficiency in clinical trial management, combined with her strategic vision and collaborative approach, makes her a valuable contributor to advancing innovative treatment options for patients with rare and pediatric conditions.
