Marco Rafael

Marco Rafael, a PharmD graduate from the University of Coimbra, transitioned from consulting to the pharmaceutical industry, building an international career in the UK and Switzerland. He also holds an MBA from EPFL and specialization in Health Policy and Policy Analysis at the London School of Economics. Over the last 13 years, he held key roles at Teva, Roche, Biogen, and Alexion. Marco returned to Roche in 2022, as a Regulatory Policy Leader. There he leads strategic foresight and external engagement strategy for Roche’s Global Product Development Regulatory and is responsible for regulatory policy strategy on clinical trials and clinical research frameworks while representing Roche in multiple trade associations working groups.
