Kalman Torocsik

Dr. Kalman Torocsik is a physician and clinical research executive with more than 20 years of experience across investigator sites, site management, CRO operations, decentralized clinical trials and healthcare management.
He serves as President of the Board of Research Professionals CRO, a European clinical research organization providing full-service CRO and decentralized clinical trial solutions. He is also Business Operations Director of Vita Verum Medical, a dedicated clinical research site and SMO organization, giving him direct insight into the operational realities of investigators, study coordinators and patients. In addition, he serves as President of the Clinical Trial Management Society of Hungary (MKVT), representing clinical research professionals across the Hungarian clinical trial ecosystem.
Throughout his career, Dr. Torocsik has worked at the intersection of sponsors, CROs, investigator sites and patients, gaining practical experience in study start-up, feasibility, clinical operations, decentralized trial delivery and site management. This combination of CRO, site and professional society leadership provides a multi-stakeholder perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping modern clinical research.
A frequent speaker at international industry events, Dr. Torocsik is particularly interested in the future of clinical trial operations, Quality by Design, decentralized approaches and the impact of operational complexity on study performance. His recent work explores how cumulative operational burden affects the broader clinical trial ecosystem and how Europe can strengthen its position as a preferred destination for global clinical research.
